Gallery Finalist: Brisbane Rotary Art Show 2023

The late summer overcast morning was totally still, so still that the first ferry of the morning was calving its way through the perfect mirrored glass reflections of the waking city.

The sun was trying to project its warm rays to compete with the glow of the commuters crossing the Captain Cook bridge. It was a moment in time that inspired me to work this Alla Prima, using scrapers and hands to add energy of the start the day, whilst using muted colours that settle the tranquil river reflections.
