I often get lost in the eyes while painting these pieces. Marla is one of the lucky ones, being raised and cared for by the Brolga & Tahnee and the team at the Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs in Central Australia. The Australian outback is unforgiving but incredible beauty is ever-present. The sunburnt land, rich sunsets and desert grasses combine in this work with colour at it’s heart, with deep reds and greens melting into the distant sun.
